I am a mom who loves the outdoors and shares that passion with my son. “Sometimes” my daughter joins in, and this year, she wanted to kill her first deer. She and I climbed into a two-man ladder stand and sat on a bluff right beside the Yalobusha River. She made her first harvest, and it was the best feeling to watch my daughter tear up as she took her first deer right before the sun went down. It was a picture-perfect moment!
