I had hunted some property I had on the other side of the highway all morning. During the hunt, I noticed several bucks actively chasing does and grunting. After not seeing a mature deer, I made a move to the other side of the highway to check a trail camera I had on the side of a huge ridge.
Once I got to the top of the mountain, I heard something to my left. I had the SD card already in hand and my gun leaned on a tree to my left. I looked left to see two does climbing the ridge about 10 yards from me. This buck came in right behind them and let out a buck roar that made my hair stand up. I was able to grab my gun and I shot him at about 8 yards. He had 13 scorable points, and scored 141 1/4 in. Craziest hunt of my life!
