Well, I had been hunting an area and seen a couple of really nice deer. I was fortunate enough to get one. My buddy had been down a ways and wasn’t having much luck, having only seen a couple of young deer. He really hadn’t had any luck the last couple of years in that area we hunt. It being now only him, and I really wanted to see him get one, he had been hard at it. So, I invited him to come in there by me and see if he could get one. The first evening was productive, with deer moving around quite a bit. However, there were no shooters. So, we tried it again the next morning, and a good buck came out and offered him a shot. It took a bit of tracking from my son and our other buddy, and we found his deer. It was one of my most memorable hunts and very rewarding.
